No Classes

There are no classes for the next two weeks.  Classes will resume their normal schedule the week of January 6th.  Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Parent Show Off Week

Preschool classes and Levels 1 - 3 and the boys classes Levels 1 - 3 will be showing off to their parents this week!  If a parent cannot make it, any friend or family member is welcome to come and watch!

This will be the last week of classes for December.  Classes will resume the week of January 6th. 

Please remember that winter has arrived and with the warm storm before the cold, good tires and/or a 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended.  Just like all the roads, our driveway is solid ice.

Fall Session Begins Tuesday

The Fall Session begins on Tuesday!  Monday classes will be on Friday!

Fall Enrollment Now Open

Enrollment is now open!  Please email Maurie at stargymnastics@silverstar.com to register.  The Fall Session will begin September 3rd.

Summer Schedule

There are no classes this week.  The summer session begins next week, June 11th, 12th and 13th. 

Tuesdays:  Level 4 & up Team 8:00 a.m. to 1:00; Level 1 12:00; Level 2 1:00; preschool 2:00

Wednesdays:  Level 3 Team 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 (open gym for other Team members); Level 1 12:00; Boys Level 1 1:00; Boys Level 2 2:00

Thursdays:  Level 4 & up Team 8:00 a.m. to 1:00; Level 3 12:00; Level 3/4 Rec 1:00 to 3:00

The backhandspring clinic is this Monday!  It's full at this time, but we would like to do at least one more this summer.

Bring A Friend Week

This week is "Bring a Friend", make sure they have a release signed by their parents and are wearing gymnastics clothes! 

This is the last week of Session III.  Monday's classes will be held Friday at their regular times due to Memorial Day on Monday. 

Summer Session begins June 11th. 

Back Handspring Clinic

We are having a Back Handspring Clinic on Monday, June 3rd from 4:00 to 6:00.  Cost is $20.  Space is limited!  Email me at stargymnastics@silverstar.com to sign up.

Annual Performance

Saturday is our annual performance at Star Valley High School.  Sessions at 3:00 and 6:00!  Tickets sold at the door!  Come and check out some amazing gymnastics!

Please have your child there 30 minutes prior to their session to stretch.   Preschoolers only need to be there 10 minutes prior.  I have all the leotards and shorts, come about 10 to 15 minutes earlier if you need to pick them up.

Now Enrolling

Enrollment for the summer session is now open.  Classes begin June 11th and goes through August 29th.  There will be 9 weeks in the session, we will take the following weeks off:  June 24th, July 4th and August 5th.  Email me at stargymnastics@silverstar.com to enroll your child.

Performance update

The Performance is next weekend, May 18th at Star Valley High School!  Sessions at 3:00 and 6:00.  Please let me know if your child did not make it home with the handout regarding which session they are in and ticket information.  They need to be at the high school a 1/2 and hour prior to the start of their session to stretch.  They will need to be there earlier if they need to pick up their leotard.

I have not received the leotards yet, most of them should arrive Monday with the last shipment arriving Wednesday.  If your child does not receive their leotard this week at class, you will have to pick it up at the High School.

You can get your tickets this week at the gym, Family ticket (immediate family only) is $15, and $5 for individual tickets.  Tickets will also be sold at the door. 

I still need volunteers to help move equipment to and from the High School and also to supervise gymnasts during the performance.  If you would like to volunteer please let me know!

Crazy Hair Week

Next week is CRAZY HAIR WEEK!  We will still be doing gymnastics, so keep that in mind.

Performance Leotards

Parents, please come to the gym sometime during your child's class this week and try on leotards to place your order.  We will have custom rhinestones on them, so no exchanges will be accepted.  There will also be an option to buy matching shorts.  If you are unable to make it during your child's class, please let me know and we can make other arrangements.

Wyoming State Championships 2013

SO PROUD right now!  Boy did Star Gymnastics rock at State! Level 3 started us off right!  The Team placed 2nd!! State Champion Piper Thompson lead them to this victory!  We kept our momentum going all through Saturday!  Level 8's competed that morning and finished with 3rd and 4th place all arounds and a 3rd place team finish!  Then the Level 5 and Level 6 gymnasts show what they were made of!  With a couple of obsticals that occurred, they still showed courage and finished the meet!  Each team finished in 3rd place, with two State Champions, Teylor Dunn, Level 5 and Haylen Potter, Level 6! The Level 4 team finished up the meet.  They performed some of the best routines they had all season!  Little Z (Mackenzie Brookes) earned her a State Champion title at Level 4!  Every gymnast did everything they were capable of and all the sweat and tears all paid off!  All 26 gymnasts helped earn Star Gymnastics a 2nd place over all (Levels 3-9) finish in the State of Wyoming!  Way to represent yourselves, Star Gymnastics and Star Valley girls!!!

Level 3 Team Place 1st

Star Gymnastics competed last weekend in Salt Lake City.  Level 3 Team brought home top honors with their first place finish!

The following gymnasts brought home 1st place All Arounds in their age divisions:

Sarah Tallerico  Level 3

Star Gymnasts had many other placings on events and in the All Around!  Great momentum for our State Championships this weekend!

End-of-the-year Performance

The Performance is going to be on May 18th at Star Valley High School.  We will be doing 2 sessions again this year!  We are looking forward to it!

PJ and Stuffed Animal Week

Circus and Superbowl Week

Everyone has had a blast with circus week!  From walking the "tightrope" to diving through the "ring of fire" and lots of games; there's been lots of smiles and giggles all week.  The boys are having fun being in football "boot camp" and learning lots of new skills and games!  It's been lots of fun and we can't wait to do it again!
